Covid-19: 109 test positive in J&K, no death reported in last 24 hours | KNO

Total cases reach 123,647, recovery rate over 97 percent in UT

Srinagar, Jan 20 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday recorded 109 positive cases taking the tally of positive cases to 123,647 in J&K, however, in last 24 hours no death was reported in UT. Of the exact number of 123,647 cases, 72,370 are from Kashmir and 51,277 from Jammu division. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 109 new cases, 64 belong to Kashmir division while as 45 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 72,370 including 70,449 recoveries and 1,207 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 51,277 including 50,176 recoveries and 716 deaths. The officials said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,099 including 714 from Kashmir division and 385 from Jammu division. With 113 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 120,625 which is 97.55 percent of the total cases. “Cases tested positive in J&K include 36 from Srinagar, 03 from Baramulla, 07 from Budgam, 03 from Pulwama, 03 from Kupwara, 06 from Anantnag, 02 from Bandipora, 00 from Ganderbal, 03 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 45 from Jammu division include 38 from Jammu, 02 from Udhampur, 01 from Rajouri, 01 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 01 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 01 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 01 from Reasi," officials disclosed. As per officials figures, 25,903 positive cases including 453 deaths and 25,197 recoveries are from Srinagar, 8,072 including 173 deaths and 7,843 recoveries are from Baramulla, 7,729 including 7,562 recoveries and 115 deaths are from Budgam, 5,678 including 5,523 recoveries and 88 deaths are from Pulwama, 5,631 including 94 deaths and 5,479 recoveries are from Kupwara, 4,858 including 4,721 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,682 cases including 4,593 and 61 deaths are from Bandipora, 4,578 including 4,459 recoveries and 46 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,685 including 2,593 recoveries and 54 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,554 including 2,479 recoveries and 39 deaths are from Shopian. In Jammu division, 24,743 including 24,185 recoveries and 367 deaths are from Jammu district, 4,186 including 4,092 recoveries and 57 deaths are from Udhampur, 3,864 including 3,802 recoveries and 55 deaths are from Rajouri, 3,427 including 3,356 recoveries and 64 deaths are from Doda, 3,249 including 3,196 recoveries and 51 deaths are from Kathua, 2,826 including 2,698 recoveries and 40 deaths are from Samba, 2,730 including 2,707 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Kishtwar, 2,485 including 2,431 recoveries and 24 deaths are from Poonch, 2,130 including 2,096 recoveries and 21 deaths are from Ramban and 1,637 including 1,613 recoveries and 15 deaths are from Reasi. As per the daily information bulletin 1,043,766 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 34,849 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,099 persons are in isolation. According to the bulletin, 935,725 persons have completed surveillance period and 70,170 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 4,319,042 samples are available. Out of 4,319,042 the number of samples tested negative stands at 4,195,395 while as 123,647 have tested positive, among them 1,099 persons are active, 120,625 persons have recovered and 1,923 persons have died—(KNO)
